Yoga therapy is a blend of breath work (pranayama),
assisted and unassisted poses (asanas), deep tissue massage,
& myofacial release techniques. Whith the use of props
and different sized balls, you will explore the depths of
your body and gain a deeper understanding of both your
personality and your spirit. Each session meets you
right where you are: body, mind, emotion, & spirit.
Yoga means "to yoke or union" and private yoga therapy
sessions allow you to see yourself more clearly and bring
yourself into greater harmony and balance. Homework
will be given after each session so you may further your
exploration at home.
Couples & semi-private sessions are a great way to
get individualized instruction and receive specific needs
based classes. Classes can be scheduled in your home
or work space. If you provide the space there is no
limit to how many people can attend. The sessions can
be done on your mat or in your chair at your conference
table. There is an additional charge for travel
outside of the city limits.
Yoga for the Special Child is a therapy based yogic
approach appropriate for all children and especially those
with attention problems, learning differences, and specific
disabilities. These sessions are conducted one on one
and are designed specifically for the needs of the child.
The skills developed in yoga will address the whole child
and will be transferable into the classroom and the outside
world. An initial assessment and a parent
questionnaire is required before starting sessions. |
